Food + Local + Digital = LOVE!
A few of my friends have mentioned this website to me over the past couple of months, giving it genuine word-of-mouth marketing, and rightly so. Because it’s awesome.
Like many great ideas, it was born out of a frustrating situation… it’s founders, were confounded by the number of suburban citrus trees they saw with wasted fruit AND the local stores selling imported fruit! So they created this website where people with excess fruit/vegetables/herbs etc growing in their yards could post it for sale or free collection, and those passionate about local produce could find it near them!

AND its founders are from my local region – Adelaide!
Not only is it a great idea though, but the execution is also awesome. The website is mobile responsive, making it easy to find local produce on your smartphone, and the geolocation features make it simple to register and find food by the map.
