Focus on creating genuinely useful website content for your audience, that naturally attracts visitors from search engines. 

For some reason I often see business owners and marketers behave very oddly when it comes to their own marketing…

They often forget what it’s like to be on the other side.

I don’t know anyone who LIKES slow websites, so why do we upload massive images and make our sites take ages to load?

We don’t like clicking on links that don’t deliver what they promise, so why do we publish sub-par content?

And SEO is an area I see this a lot. 

Many people EXPECT and WANT to be the top result, without putting in the effort to be the BEST result.

For a long time now, Google has told us to focus on users, not search engines. And while I think this is important, it is also VERY useful to understand how search engines work, so you can keep BOTH happy. But let’s REALLY focus on the users.

If you want to be the top result, BE to the top result! Provide REALLY useful information that answers not only the person’s question, but their next question, and their next question, and questions they didn’t even know they had!

Make your website fast loading and easy to use.

Think about how you would feel being at the other end of your digital marketing.
