Mashable launched Social Media Day in 2010 as a way to recognize and celebrate social media’s impact on global communication. While every day is essentially Social Media Day, June 30th, 2015 marks the sixth-annual official global celebration.

Adelaide has a passionate social media community, and we are keen to connect – both online and offline – and contribute to the global Social Media Day celebrations.

This year Scout Digital Marketing volunteered to organise Adelaide’s #SMDay activities. We expected great things, and were very excited to see the whole community pitch in, collaborate, and really have fun with the day.

We’ve created a website to capture what’s happening and give recaps of the sessions people weren’t able to attend.

If you weren’t able to take part this year, be sure you save the date for next year. We’d love to have you take part in the celebrations!
