These are a few of our favourite {internet} things…

“What can I share? What I do isn’t that interesting…” This is a common phrase I hear when speaking to people about jumping into social media or those who have dipped a toe in the water (by setting up an account/page and then just letting it sit there).  There are plenty of people who are interested in what you have to share!

For example, work at a winery? Are you sharing the journey that the grapes take from the vineyard to the bottling line? That is something, not all your customers get to experience, especially those who may love your wine but cannot visit your cellar door.

Content is all around you and Humans of New York is a great example of this. If you haven’t heard about it, you can read the back story here. Brandon, the photographer, started Humans of New York by looking at what was around him – people – and deciding to do something with that content. By sharing the stories and photos of inhabitants of New York, he’s able to share the story of the city with those who live there, wants to go there, or will never be able to visit.

Have a look around you… take a step back and think of yourself as the customer or fan, not the owner or employee of the business. Now, grab your phone and start snapping a few photos to share on your social channels.
