There’s a lot we can learn from data, but even more, we can learn from actually speaking to people who match our target audience or niche, so get chatting!

Hands up if you’re an introvert! 🙋🏽

While it IS easier to hide behind our keyboards and data, we can learn SO MUCH from actually speaking – with our voices – to our target audiences.

Whether you have a formal list of questions, or a casual coffee catch up with a current or potential client, talking to them about THEM, THEIR business or personal issue, what keeps THEM awake at night, what THEIR biggest challenges are etc, will provide you with valuable insights and understanding that you can then factor into what YOU do, and HOW you explain and communicate this with your community.

This doesn’t need to be an arduous task. Perhaps aim to speak with one person per week, either on the phone, or in person.

And where you may like to canvas a larger group of people with a survey, use questions with selected answers for factual information, and ask open-ended questions for areas where you would like people to explain and volunteer insights.
