Last week we heard that Instagram now has 300 million active monthly users, to Twitter’s 284 million active monthly users, making it a serious contender for the “big 3″…

Instagram also announced that they are cleaning up spam accounts, so we could see that number change, but either way, it’s clearly a serious channel for individuals and brands.

Do you use Instagram for your business?

If you don’t, and you’re not sure if you should, consider:

  • do your audience use Instagram? (and are they likely to be interested in following your organisation on it, what’s in it for them?)
  • do you have useful, interesting, high-quality images and graphics to share regularly?
  • do you have the time and resources to support another channel? (or is it time to switch from a poorly performing one?)
